Dr. Emily Roberson

Dr. Roberson graduated from Wake Forest University in 1990 and NCSU-CVM in 1994. At NCSU, she took two elective rotations in Theriogenology, including studying under Dr. Katherine Settle. She initially practiced veterinary medicine in Forsyth and Davie counties for 10 years before opening the Animal Hospital of East Davie in January 2004. While in Forsyth County, she also worked for Forsyth Animal Control as a consultant, sat on the board, served on the Advisory Panel that created new laws for animal abuse, and trained officers in humane euthanasia. Since 2004, she has served six years on the Davie Humane Society board and currently is an advisor to the Davie County Animal Control and trains their officers to perform humane euthanasia. Her favorite interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and canine reproduction. She has been a member of the Society for Theriogenology since 1994. She has lived in Davie County since 1995, is married, and has two sons who graduated from Davie High School and are currently in college. She has Beau, a mini Australian Shepherd, and two cats- Hazel and Crush. Her hobbies outside work include attending/watching college football and basketball games, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Baxley Zagaroli
Dr. Baxley Zagaroli

Dr. Zagaroli graduated from North Carolina State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and from NCSU-CVM in 2023. She grew up in Hickory, NC, and has had a passion for horseback riding since age 4. At NCSU, Dr. Baxley was passionate about furthering her proficiency in Soft Tissue Surgery, Ultrasound, and Anesthesia. This is her first year as a practicing veterinarian, but she has worked as both a surgical and ER/ICU veterinary technician for the past 6 years. She and her fiance, Virgil, have just moved to the Davie County community and look forward to starting their life here, which is close to both their families. Together, they have a dog named Thor, an orange cat named Milton, and a Thoroughbred named Captain. Her hobbies outside of work include running, reading, traveling, and crafting.

Dr. Amber Nebel-Karp

Dr. Nebel-Karp graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She completed an equine rotational internship in Massachusetts following vet school and completed a comparative theriogenology residency back at NCSU. Dr. Nebel has a passion for reproductive medicine and neonatal and pediatric care, as well as educating and supporting the local breeding community. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, running, participating in various 5Ks, and spending time with her small herd of guinea pigs and her partner. She is looking forward to adding a borzoi puppy to the menagerie, hopefully this coming March. She is interested in finding out what AKC competitions she can become involved in with her future puppy prospect.
