Dog & Cat Boarding Requirements

We take every precaution to ensure the safety, health, and happiness of all pets in our care. All Davie Dog House boarders must meet our vaccination and exam requirements before their stay.

Dog Boarding Requirements

Annual veterinary exam with our clinic within the past year.
Up-to-date vaccinations, including:

  1. DA2PLPV Booster
  2. Rabies Booster
  3. Bordetella (Required every 6 months)

Cat Boarding Requirements

  1. FVRCP Booster
  2. Rabies Booster

Why Do We Require an Exam?

An in-house exam helps us:

  • Establish a trusted relationship with your pet
  • Identify underlying health concerns, such as fleas, ticks, or respiratory conditions
  • Assess if your pet has special needs or sensitivities to boarding stress

Check-In & Check-Out Policies

Boarding Drop-Off Policy

Drop-Off Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 5:30 PM
    (Closed 12 PM – 1 PM for lunch)
  • Saturday: 8 AM – 11:45 AM
  • Sunday: 2 PM – 5:45 PM

An appointment is required for drop-off. Our team will call the day before to schedule your check-in time.

Boarding Rates:

  • Rates are charged per day. Example: A Friday-Sunday stay is 3 days of boarding.
  • Sunday pick-up incurs an additional fee.
  • No refunds for early pickups. Full payment is due at check-in.

Boarding Pick-Up Policy

Pick-Up Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
    (Closed 12 PM – 1 PM for lunch)
  • Saturday: 8 AM – 12 PM
  • Sunday: 2 PM – 6 PM

No appointment is required for pick-up.

Guidelines on What to Bring for Your Pet’s Stay

  • Pre-Bagged Food: All dry food must be pre-portioned by meal (no large bags/containers)
  • Original Medication Containers: Medications and supplements must be in their original packaging
  • Bedding & Toys:
  • One bed OR blanket per pet (Max: 50” x 60”)
  • One toy per pet (No rawhide bones)

Important Notice: Our staff may relocate pets due to stress or excessive barking to ensure a calm, comfortable stay for all boarders.
