Whether you’re from Winston-Salem, Advance or another one of our neighboring North Carolina communities, we hope you’ll explore some of the many services we have to offer to optimize the overall health of your pet.
Following is a list of the most common services offered at our animal hospital.

Annual Wellness Exams
Our veterinarians know that annual wellness exams for pets are an important part of any preventative health care program. These exams allow for the early detection of many common conditions such as heart disease, dental disease, cataracts, diabetes, arthritis, spinal issues and many others, not to mention the best news any guardian can hear from their veterinarian…your pet has a clean bill of health!
No matter what life stage your pet is in, visiting our animal hospital on an annual basis for regular wellness exams is an integral part of maintaining optimal overall health.
Diagnostic Laboratory
At our animal clinic, we have a comprehensive, state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic laboratory, which allows our veterinarians to run an extensive array of tests, ranging from routine blood tests to fecal and urinary analysis, microscopic cytology and more. At the Animal Hospital of East Davie, we’re proud to offer our diagnostic laboratory to ensure that your pet leaves our veterinary clinic both happy and healthy, no matter the ailment.
Digital Radiology
Digital radiology allows our animal hospital to rapidly obtain high-definition X-Rays that can be a crucial diagnostic tool for a variety of patient conditions including but not limited to: lameness, coughing, heart disease, foreign body ingestion, constipation and many other disorders that require more than a physical examination and blood tests to achieve a diagnosis.
Our veterinarians and staff are able to use these high-definition X-Rays to receive unparalleled insight into the health of your pet and offer the best approach to care and recovery possible.
Soft Tissue Surgery
Our veterinarians perform everything from spays and neuters to bladder stone removal, lump removals and an array of other additional procedures. At our pet hospital, every patient is closely monitored using state-of-the-art digital monitors that provide real-time EKG, oxygen levels, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature. All of our veterinary patients also receive a pre-anesthesia blood screening to help us make your pet’s surgical procedure as safe and successful as possible. When it comes to Soft Tissue Surgery and other procedures, we know that precision counts, so our veterinarians work to provide outstanding, precise care when it matters most.
Dentistry
For dental ailments both big and small, our veterinary hospital is prepared to deliver careful, compassionate care. Our animal hospital encourages all of our clients to participate in preventative oral hygiene programs such as brushing their pet’s teeth daily, regularly administering dental chews and taking additional measures, but there are times when a patient may require in-patient dental procedures under anesthesia to properly manage more severe cases of periodontal and gum disease, a fractured tooth, a tooth root abscess or possibly an extraction.
Our animal hospital aims to see your pet smiling from ear to ear when they leave our facility.
Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Feel free to stop by our animal clinic at any time to discuss a tailored prevention program that may be best suited for you and your pet.
Two major categories of preventative care are as follows:
Heartworm Preventative
Heartworm disease is a deadly, yet easily preventable disease. We recommend year-round preventative be given to both cats and dogs. Please be sure to note that the North Carolina Veterinary Board requires annual exams and heartworm checks before we can dispense heartworm prevention.
Flea/Tick Control
Fleas and ticks both carry a number of life threatening diseases, which in turn pose a risk to you and your pet. For this reason, we recommend year-round flea and tick control and carry several products that work well in our local environment. With our extensive knowledge of the Advance and Winston-Salem areas, we can make sure to administer our solutions for fleas, ticks and heartworm preventatives before the peak of the season arrives.
Diet and Nutrition Counseling
Our veterinary hospital also carries a comprehensive line of prescription diets. Different pets require different diets for optimal health and performance. Our veterinarians and staff will be happy to help determine which diet is right for your pet. Simply schedule an appointment or stop in to receive our counseling services! Setting a course for a happier and healthier future for your pet is simple and starts with a visit to our veterinary clinic.
Vaccination Services
Vaccinations are an important aspect of any preventative health care program. Our veterinary hospital understands that a vaccine program should be tailored to your pet’s individual situation and we follow the most up-to-date vaccination protocols based on your pet’s individual lifestyle and exposure. Be sure to contact our veterinary clinic to learn more about our vaccination services today.
Microchipping
Countless beloved pets are lost or stolen each year. With this in mind, the Animal Hospital of East Davie encourages that all pets be identifiable by a microchip, which is registered with a national database to increase the number of lost pets reunited with their guardian(s). We can ensure that the process is safe, painless, and will contribute to the overall safety and well-being of your pet.
